We understand that sometimes you may need to return a product you have purchased from the Paint World online store. To help out, we have set out below the Paint World Returns Policy highlighting key points that you should know.
Our Returns Policy includes, and does not seek to exclude or limit, the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (if you are a consumer) and other relevant laws.
If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time. However, the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period for which a remedy may be available can vary from product to product, depending on factors such as the nature of the product and the price. Paint World adopts the same approach. As you can appreciate, the type of return/refund we can offer you may also vary depending on how long it takes you to bring the fault to our attention and/or return the product/s to us.
We ask that when making a purchase you please choose carefully as Paint World does not accept return of products where you have simply changed your mind, are not happy with a colour or where the purchase was a gift that was unwanted. Products purchased online can only be returned if they are faulty, and the fault did not arise through any misuse, abnormal use or negligent use of the product.
Please contact (02) 9897 0400 to speak with one of our Paint World specialists, or email us at email@example.com and type ‘Item Return’ along with any order number or receipt number that you have in the subject line. If Paint World can determine that a customer’s purchased goods are damaged or faulty and was through no fault of their own or through wear and tear, they will be entitled to choose one of the following options for a refund:
– A money back refund onto the credit/debit card used to purchase the item
– A credit voucher to be used at Paint Worlds’ Online Store or one of our 5 stores in Sydney.
Both options would be equal to the amount paid for the item. Both options will be made available to the customer to choose from.
Before the refund is issued to a customer, the customer needs to return the faulty or damaged item back to one of our Paint World Store locations with the email showing information about the agreed refund chosen. Paint World will then issue customers eligible to receive a refund or credit with the choice that they have made from the above mentioned options.
Paint World will cover the postage cost for the replacement, in the case the customer has chosen to receive a replacement.
Where the custom has made an error or changed their mind. The customer will need to pay for postage return of the initial item AND for the postage of the exchanged item as well.
